Visage will be the first to demonstrate XML-based multimedia reporting integration with Nuance PowerScribe 360
SAN DIEGO, CA, November 23, 2015 – Visage Imaging Inc. (“Visage”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus Ltd. (ASX: PME), has announced they will be the exclusive enterprise diagnostic viewer demonstrating Visage® 7 multimedia reporting and XML-based reporting integration with Nuance PowersScribe® 360 in the Nuance Communications booth #4729 at RSNA 2015. Visage 7 enables enterprise imaging with amazingly fast, thin-client, server-side processing technology, as well as simple diagnostic mobile access via Visage Ease Pro®.
As a leader in Deconstructed PACS®, Visage works with our many integration partners to continually improve integrations, as demonstrated by our rich integration history with Nuance’s flagship radiology reporting platform, PowerScribe 360. At RSNA 2014, Visage 7 demonstrated work-in-progress multimedia reporting integration with Nuance PowerScribe 360, which was generally available to Visage 7 customers in early 2015. The newest version of Nuance PowerScribe 360 enables relevant PACS images to be embedded into reports for sharing of multimedia reports between physicians, which provide a more comprehensive picture of a patient’s condition, helping referring physicians better understand findings and discuss treatment options with specialists and patients.
Improving upon existing multimedia reporting integration, Nuance has extended the image capture portion to include an XML file in addition to captured images. This XML file will allow for more latitude of use of the image within the report. For example, labeling can be included with the captured image to include series and image number. Visage 7 will be the first enterprise diagnostic viewer to demonstrate this integration, offering the industry a glimpse into how the work products of enterprise diagnostic viewers can be further integrated into multimedia reports in future product releases.
