PACS Failover
The Visage PACS architecture scales from a single server to a cluster system for hundreds of users. All critical components of the system can be scaled according to the needs of the hospital, making sure that the system can grow with demand over time. Modern image management systems are mission critical, and the demand for uninterrupted operation is challenging. Mercury’s unique active-active failover concept combines scalable performance with a very high level of availability. System performance is increased by distributing services across multiple server nodes. If one of the nodes fails, other nodes take over the failed services without interrupting the client application (the Visage PACS Web viewers). If a failure occurs on a Visage PACS Online node, the user can continue working after a few seconds delay.
