Lake Imaging’s Use of Visage 7 on 7News

Lake Imaging, a sophisticated, leading inpatient & outpatient radiology provider based in Melbourne, Australia, with 22 campuses, was recently profiled on 7News, a national Australian television broadcaster.  Click here to read the news article and view the online broadcast, “General practitioners get the inside story:  medical imaging improving diagnosis”.

Lake showcased the dramatic patient care improvements they’ve been able to deliver using the Visage 7 enterprise imaging platform. Lake has incorporated 3D (MIP/MPR) into their basic reading workflow, particularly due to Visage 7's ability to automatically display 3D natively within all protocols. This is in stark contrast to most PACS that have separate systems, either platform or software-based, for 3D viewing.  This typically leads to a dedicated 3D workstation environment, or a separate click on the PACS diagnostic workstation to gain access to advanced capabilities. In these environments, the entire imaging study must be local in order for the advanced capabilities to be accessed, whereas with Visage 7 the study is able to be interpreted with advanced visualization immediately upon study launch. The time savings due to workflow improvements, and speed of access is dramatic compared to traditional approaches. Visage 7 enables a more natural way for radiologists to interpret imaging studies.

Additionally, with Visage 7 both radiologists and referring physicians have simple, flexible access to images wherever they are, on PC and Mac computers, as well as on their mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads with Visage Ease.
