Visage Thin Client delivers online education to technologists at 3DR Academy

The role of post processing frequently is the responsibility of the CT technologist. A few days of applications training does not provide all of the required knowledge of anatomy, pathology and visualization methods to create quality MIP, Curved Reformat and Volume Rendered images. The mission of 3DR Academy is to give technologists the necessary knowledge and skills to produce diagnostic and clinically useful post processed images.

3DR Academy in partnership with Jefferson Community & Technical College offers the only college-based curriculum in Volumetric Medical Imaging. Using the Visage® CS thin client, the full curriculum is available online. Sectional anatomy and pathophysiology are presented with multi-media content. Post-processing functions are explained in detail and demonstrated with video tutorials. With low-bandwidth connections (broadband cable), students can log into 3DR Academy’s Visage server to practice standardized protocols on numerous case studies.

Students completing the full curriculum earn a 16-college credit certificate in Volumetric Medical Imaging. CEUs are also awarded. Visit www.3dracademy.com or call Heather Brown, PhD (1-866-586-3726×10) to enroll.
