- Marcelo G. Lima
President -
Mr. Lima leads Mercury's Life Sciences subsidiary, Visage Imaging, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience in the medical industry, holding positions in engineering, marketing, business development, and general executive management.
Previously, he was chief executive officer of OPSION Medical, and, prior to that, vice president and general manager for Kodak's Health Imaging unit in charge of the worldwide hardcopy business. Mr. Lima has also held management positions at Hewlett Packard Medical Products Group and Siemens Medical. He started his career at Johnson & Johnson as a software engineer.
Mr. Lima has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago, a master of science degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University, and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Gama Filho University (UGF) in Brazil.

Schumacher
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer -
Mr. Schumacher has an extensive management background in directing growth initiatives in a variety of companies. He spent 25 years at GE , holding positions in Medical Systems including Worldwide Marketing Manager - Magnetic Resonance; National Sales Manager - Computed Tomography; and Vice President Marketing - Europe. He also spent two years as General Manager - Range Products, in GE Appliances.
Subsequently, Mr. Schumacher became Chairman, President and CEO of Biomagnetic Technologies, a publicly traded medical imaging and research company based in San Diego. He has also operated his own business consulting activity and has held several interim management positions. In January 2006, he joined Mercury Computer Systems as Director - Modular Products and Services and became General Manager - Life Sciences Group in September 2006.
Mr. Schumacher holds a BSEE and a BS in Engineering Science from Gonzaga University, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
- Malte Westerhoff
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer -
Dr. Westerhoff leads the Product Management and the Research & Development groups of Mercury's Life Sciences subsidiary, Visage Imaging. He has more than ten years of experience in medical imaging and software development, holding positions in research and industry.
Dr. Westerhoff has a master's degree in physics from Technical University, Berlin, and a PhD in computer science and mathematics from Free University, Berlin. Mr. Westerhoff is one of the founders of Indeed - Visual Concepts GmbH and author and co-author of many scientific papers in scientific visualization and high-performance computing.
- Colin Murphy
Vice President Sales and Marketing -
Mr. Murphy has over twenty-five years experience as a sales and marketing executive in the imaging industry. His responsibilities have included the role of Executive Vice President and General Manager for TeraRecon, Inc., managing one of the business units. He has held sales and marketing management positions at divisions of Intergraph, Corp. and E.I Dupont. He also was Managing Director of European operations for Itek Graphics Ltd., based in London.
Mr. Murphy has a BA from Boston State College and an MBA from Suffolk University.
